One of the action plans for ATRUF is Increased school retention and enrollment for the girl child up to at least primary seven: Increased proportion of school retention among the teenagers completing primary 7 (both boys and girls) in the rural areas. ATRUF intends to achieve this through School visits for career guidance by female and male role models in society and Provision of basic scholastic materials for the vulnerable best performing students, among others.
In 2024, ATRUF was able to reach out to two primary schools ( Kilak P.7 school and Nebbi P.7 school) in two Districts (Pader and Nebbi) to pilot the school outreach program.
ATRUF was able to give career guidance and disseminate information on sexual reproductive health to 1,130 teenage boys and girls
